Looms Business Park

Ivygrove acquired the seven acre Spondon site following the closure of Albert Looms in May 2024. The plan is to build Looms Business Park, a high quality industrial scheme designed to support continued economic and industrial growth across Derby. The development will deliver approximately 80,000 sq ft of new industrial units on the former Albert Looms site.

The first major transaction at Looms Business Park, marks the beginning of a strategic partnership with Whitehouse Construction. Entering a design and build agreement for a bespoke headquarters facility for Whitehouse, developed through close collaboration between the two companies.

The new headquarters will occupy approximately two acres and will include 8,000 sq ft of office space, a substantial yard area for vehicles and plant, and parking provision for over 50 cars.

Phase 2 of the development will deliver a further 80,000 sq ft of small and medium-sized industrial units, available on a To Let or For Sale basis. The first units are expected to be ready for occupation by late 2026.

Looms Business Park benefits from excellent connectivity, with direct access to the A52, A50, and M1, positioning it as one of Derby’s most strategically located industrial sites.
